Ornate inlay wood music box with velvet lining. This piece has some sighs of wear and repair that are listed below. It is still a beautiful and functional piece. The music box functions well and can be wound from the key at the bottom and plau]ys when the lid is open. There is a small oval mirror on the inside lid.
CONDITION:
— The piece is missing the key for the lock (there is a little catch to the latch, but it otherwise opens and closes easily).
— I believe the feet have been replaced due to damage. The laminate on the base is a little roughted up and the little wood legs look a little different from each other. It does not affect the stabily of the box.
— the varnish on the front panel of the box is weathered and is not as smooth and shiny with lacquer as it is on the lid, for instance. It is not terribly noticeable when the box is displayed, but it can be noticeable to the touch and seen close up,
— the interior velvet lining is clean, but all\ong the left side there is a ripple in the fabric as if it had somehow been stretched.
— there are some minor scratches to the surface around the sides that are also visible in the photos.
