This long lariat style strand of beads is made with a mix of older glass beads featuring a few heavy and faceted 1920s big crystal beads, 1940s-1950s style faceted round beads, and diagonal cut beads with seed bead spacers. The beads appear to be mostly hand-knotted between each of them on a newer, likely nylon, white beading thread. The weight of the beads puts strain on the thread and thus requires gentle wear especially when tying — this is likely why they were restrung.
CONDITION: As stated, this piece looks like it has been RESTRUNG due to whiteness of the thread that can be seen on the knots between the beads. When examined closely, the beads have wear to their surface in the form of small scratches and bevelling of the facets (especially on the round beads) There is one off-colour yellow spacer bead in the piece that is identified in the photos. There are occasional small gaps between the beads.
