Crafted from seamless strands of corde, Corde/Korde/Cord purses gained traction during the 1940s as a solution to the scarcity of leather during WW2. This purse features a sturdy cardboard base, intricately threaded with coiled and spiral designs in black corde including all along the top handle. The purse is in very good condition without stains or fraying. It bears the Gold Seal brand and has an attached coin purse.
