This set of 7 Royal Staffordshire dinner plates designed by notable ceramic artist Clarice Cliff features a large bouquet of wild flowers in the centre. Although the transfer is identical on each plate there are ever so slight differences in the placement of the transfer between the plates. The reverse of each plate bears the pink ink stamp for Royal Staffordshire Clarice Cliff.
MEASUREMENTS: Slightly oval-shaped at 11 inches X 10 inches.
CONDITION: — Excellent condition without chips, cracks or crazing. Transfer pattern is clear. — small in or under glaze impurities in 3 of the plates (please see pictures) — very light scuff/knife marks or gaps in transfer application on the surfaces from previous use (worst examples shown in close up pictures). — visible stilt marks from when the plates were supported during firing are present.
