This lot of terrific vintage glass beads include several foil beads within the designs. The beads are still wearable, but should be restrung and perhaps re-designed with consideration to the lengths of the strands. Many of these necklaces look like they were restrung by someone learning the skill of jewellery making as there is some thought to the arrangement of the beads, but small errors made during the process, perhaps.
CONDITION: 1. Multi strand white glass beads with large gold filigree box clasp. This necklace has 6 strands of beads on a 4 strand box clasp, so there are 2 pairs of beads attached to the same link on the clasp. The box clasp is slightly dented on one side. 2. Single strand of gold, silver, & blue foil glass beads spaced with turquoise beads. The turquoise beads are hard plastic, not glass, and the thread used is slightly stretched. 3. Double strand pearlized beads with yellow swirl beads & gold foil beads. There is tarnish to the metal end caps where they attach to the clasp. The spacing beads may not be glass. 4. Single strand twisted white glass beads. One of the beads has a hole from a burst air bubble in the glass. 5. Long Blue glass single strand on plastic thread. 6. Triple strand blue foil beads with blue swirl glass beads on large beaded floral clasp.
These necklaces are sold as a lot of 6. They would be perfect for someone who appreciates the uniqueness and value in older handmade glass beads.
