This lot of 4 metal miniatures were hand painted in tiny toleware style in Wales. While I am sure some of the pieces would look stunning in a doll house, like the grandfather clock and the laundry mangle, all of them are not on the same scale. They are moulded from a pewter metal alloy and are plated to resemble copper or brass. These are older pieces and solid metal, not hollow, like many newer pieces.
I’m including 2 solid wood carved trays that display well with the pieces. The pieces’ measurements range from 2 to 3.5 inches tall
CONDITION:
These pieces were previously owned and vintage. As such they have some small faults from handling and use as follows:
Grandfather Clock — The paper face of the clock is a slightly worn/faded. This piece bears the Made in England stamp and the remnants of a sticker that reads”Hand Painted in Wales”.
Lamp — The lamp has to\w/o parts to it: the copper coated base and the painted shade. The underside of the shade has some speckles of wear to the gold interior.
Laundry Mangle — The bottom has some discolouration from manufacturing to the gold underside. This piece also bear the Made in England stamp.
The Tea Kettle — The spout of the kettle has some tarnish at the tip of the spout. Please note, as well, that this is one piece and the lid cannot be removed.
