This woven splint and sweetgrass sewing basket was made in 2004 and signed in pencil by the artist on the bottom; Sun Set Rose Marrés. The piece is woven from 2 tones of wood splints and a rim of grass around the edge of the lid. The piece is 5 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter.
The piece is in excellent without breaks or stains.
It is a great storage container for sewing supplies, odds and ends, or jewellery.
