One Crocodile Wood carved piece of a Balinese Janger dancer. The dancer is depicted wearing a performer’s headdress and flowers and is clearly made by the hand of a skilled artisan. It is an interiesting accent piece for a bookshelf or mantle.
The piece has a narrow profile and is 4 inches across. It stands, independently, at 5.75 inches tall. The reverse shows the rings and lines of the natural grain of the wood.
The piece is in very good condition. There are some lines/grooves at the top of the crown which pass through to the back. It looks and feels like eitherthis area was filled before carving, or is the natural state of the wood. The area is smooth and without the feeling of a break or crack to the touch on either the front or the back. Please see close up pictures of this area.
