This small, 3-piece, flow blue tureen would have been used for serving side dishes made by F & Sons Chatsworth, Burselem. There are multiple faults with this 100 year old piece that are listed below, but it still looks stunning on display or repurposed in other creative ways. The bottom of the tureen and the tray are stamped. The piece is 8.5 inches X 5.5 inches X 6 inches
CONDITION: The overall light crazing means the piece is no longer food safe. In addition, there are the following faults which I have tried my best to annotate in the photos. — the finial on the lid has been glue repaired in the past. It looks like it split into 2 pieces as the crack lines are visiblecwhen examined up close. — there is a small fleck of an impurity on the lid that seems permanently affixed or imbedded in it. — the edges of the tureen have wear. This has worn off the glaze leaving smudges on the exposed porcelain. — on the bottom of the tray, near one of the shorter sides, there is a small section that looks like it was missed by the glaze before firing.
