Faded Kim Ondaatje Print “Chair” Unframed from The House on Piccadilly Street Series c.1970s, Faintly Signed and Numbered
This vintage art print captures that popular MCM style with its yellow mustard hues. Although difficult to see, the print depicts a wicker chair with a yellow cushion on it in the lower left corner. Unfortunately, due to heavy fading, the chair is almost indistinct and the horizontal window in the top left is nearly invisible. The vertical wall paper lines in the top right of the print are mostly what makes this print unmistakably Kim Ondaatje’s “Chair” print from her “House on Piccadilly Street Series” (c. 1970s). There is some residual glue from mounting tape running along the top of the back of the print.
Although both are extremely faint as well, the print number is pencilled in the lower left edge and Ondaatje’s signature is along the lower right.
The dimensions of the printed area and the page the print is on are as follows:
Print Area: 13 inches X 10 inches
Print Paper: 16 inches X 20 inches
For shipping the piece will be sent flat between layers of cardboard. The paper the print is on is almost as thick as poster board, so rolling it is not ideal.
