This heavy solid brass set consists of a pedestal plate with reverse scalloped edges and etched with dragons. The folding 3 legged stand opens up around the ridge on the plate to secure the 2 pieces together when in use. There is a partially legible stamp on the rim of the plate that reads, “Made in China”. It is perfect for food offerings at a home alter, as a stand for a pillar candle, or just as a decorative fruit or trinket dish for jewellery, coins or keys.
CONDITION:
The piece has very old stains and marks on the face of the plate, a few on the sides of the pedestal of the plate, and some on the legs of the stand (please view pictures for details). None of these stains impede the function of the piece.
In order to assemble the piece, place the plate carefully within the brackets at the top of the stand and slowly rotate them around the base to tighten and secure.
