This impressive solid wood jewellery chest has 4 small drawers perfect for storing jewellery or keepsakes. Designed in the shape of a wardrobe, the drawers on shelves inside pull open with white beads that are nailed in and serve as handles. The drawers move smoothly, but could also be completely removed for visible storage.
The piece is 16.5 inches tall, 12 inches across and 7 inches deep. It weighs much more than it looks for its size at over 13 lbs.
CONDITION: The chest is in very good vintage condition. A previous owner has added felt pads to the feet on the bottom that could be replaced or removed. The pieces are roughly joined and have gaps in places. The double swinging doors do not close flush. Also the corner of one door has some sort of wear or abrasion on the inside.
Despite these small faults the piece is perfectly usable, solidly built and made from thick pieces of a beautiful quality hardwood like teak or ebony.
